Greenville Fire Department, Washington Co. Emergency Operations Center aid struggling community

The Greenville Fire Department and Washington County Emergency Operations Center are assisting residents in a time of need, according to local officials.

Today at 12:30 p.m., the Greenville Fire Department set up at the local library to serve hot soup, crackers, pastries, waters, and other supplies, a community source said. Trey Childs’ Electrical Services was on site installing a generator to provide power and lighting for charging devices and warmth.

Community members are encouraged to share information with neighbors who may not have access to Facebook or other communication channels. Officials expressed gratitude to all volunteers and partners working to support communities facing hardships.
