Greenville encourages voter registration on National Voter Registration Day

Greenville is urging residents to participate in National Voter Registration Day on September 15, 2026. The city, in partnership with local organizations, is hosting registration events from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The events will be held at the Buster Brown Community Center, Greenville City Hall, and fire stations across the city. The city is encouraging eligible residents to register, update information, and prepare to vote.

Officials are offering a chance for early registration participants to win gift cards. The first three people at each location will receive a free gas card, while supplies last.

Mayor Errick D. Simmons emphasized the importance of voting. “Voting is one of the most powerful ways we can make our voices heard and help shape the future of our community,” he said. “I encourage every eligible Greenville resident to register, stay informed, and participate. When our citizens are engaged, Greenville is stronger.”

The city promotes the event with hashtags including #NationalVoterRegistrationDay, #RegisterToVote, and #YourVoiceMatters.
