Greenville crews paint reflective speed bumps on Mill Street and Genie Fairway

Greenville city crews painted reflective speed bumps along Mill Street and Genie Fairway to enhance nighttime visibility and safety, according to city officials.

Traffic department workers used high-visibility reflective paint to ensure drivers can see the speed bumps after dark, aiming to improve safety for motorists, pedestrians, and nearby residents.

Mayor Errick D. Simmons emphasized the city’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving infrastructure. “Our street and department crews are out in the field putting in the work where it matters most—on our streets and in our neighborhoods. We realize that at times it seems as if the wheels of progress turn slowly, but rest assured they’re turning,” he said.

City officials highlighted small improvements as key to community safety, especially during nighttime hours. The work is part of Greenville’s broader effort to enhance local infrastructure and safety.
