Greenville Continues Black History Month Facts Series

The City of Greenville is honoring Black History Month through a series of facts celebrating influential leaders, trailblazers, and key moments that have shaped the nation, the world, and the local community.

Mayor Errick D. Simmons emphasized the significance of Black history, stating, “Black history is American history. Black history is world history. It belongs to all of us, and everyone should join in the celebration.”

Throughout the month, Greenville residents are encouraged to learn, celebrate, and recognize the enduring legacy of Black achievement and resilience, according to city officials.

The city’s Black History Month series aims to foster awareness and appreciation of contributions made by Black Americans locally and globally.
