Greenville continues Black History Month celebrations with educational series

The City of Greenville is continuing its Black History Month Facts Series, spotlighting influential leaders, trailblazers, and pivotal moments that have shaped the nation, the world, and the local community.

Mayor Errick D. Simmons emphasized the significance of the observance, stating, “Black History is American History. Black History is World History. It belongs to all of us, and everyone should join in the celebration.”

Throughout February, the city encourages residents to celebrate, learn, and honor the legacy of Black excellence, resilience, and achievement. The series aims to foster community pride and greater understanding of Black history’s impact on society.
