Greenville advances street improvements with Robertshaw paving project
Greenville is continuing its efforts to upgrade local infrastructure, with recent paving on Robertshaw Street. Mayor Errick D. Simmons and Ward 1 Councilman Al Brock visited the site to observe the progress.
The city’s Public Works Street Department, along with external engineers from Hooker Engineering and contractors, are working on a critical section of Robertshaw Street. The project aims to provide a smoother and safer roadway for residents and neighborhoods that rely on it daily.
From preparation to final paving, crews are actively working to complete the project. Mayor Simmons emphasized the importance of each completed street, saying, “Every street paved is progress you can see, feel, and drive on. We know there is more work to do, and we remain committed to improving the streets and infrastructure that keep Greenville moving forward.”
The city’s ongoing efforts reflect a broader goal of infrastructure improvement across Greenville. The work on Robertshaw Street is part of a continued push to enhance transportation and safety within the community.
The city stated that paving and progress are ongoing, underscoring its commitment to infrastructure development. The initiative is part of Greenville’s broader plan to move the city forward through targeted investments in its streets and neighborhoods.
