Free workshop teaches budget-friendly, nutritious cooking in Greenville
Greenville residents can learn how to cook nutritious, cost-effective meals at a free workshop scheduled for May 8, 2026. The event, titled “Cooking Healthy on a Budget,” will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Extension Building, 148 North Edison Street.
The session will include a live cooking demonstration, meal planning advice, and complimentary tastings, according to organizers. It aims to help participants develop long-term healthy eating habits while managing expenses.
Dr. Kebrina Bartley and Dr. Eric Wilkerson of the Delta Family Medicine Residency Program will lead the event. The program is a partnership between Mississippi Delta Family Medicine Residency and Mississippi State University Extension.
