Former Horn Lake High School Star Nakobe Dean Sponsors Gifts for Local First Responders

Former Horn Lake High School football standout and NFL linebacker Nakobe Dean sponsored gifts for area first responders this year, extending his annual appreciation efforts. Dean, who has previously sponsored breakfast for first responders, took it a step further by recognizing employees from the Horn Lake Police Department and Fire Department.

Police officers were nominated by their peers based on qualities such as teamwork, dependability, and work ethic. Officers Bobby Moore and Andrew Taylor received special recognition for their character and dedication, according to department sources.

Peers described Officer Moore as someone who never complains, willingly helps others, and maintains a positive attitude. He is known for respectfulness, compassion, and going above and beyond for colleagues while exemplifying the department’s teamwork values.

Officer Taylor was praised as selfless and hardworking, often mentoring younger officers and helping new hires feel welcomed. Both officers were commended for embodying the spirit of service and teamwork.

The department also extended gratitude to Nakobe Dean and the Kind Hearts 4 Lyfe Foundation for their ongoing support of first responders and the Horn Lake community, according to officials.
