Disturbance in Gulf of Mexico Forecasts to Likely Develop into Low-Pressure System
A disturbance over the southwestern Gulf of Mexico is expected to develop into a broad low-pressure system later this week, according to weather officials.
While development remains uncertain early in the week, environmental conditions are likely to support gradual organization of the system, the National Weather Service said.
A tropical depression is considered likely to form during mid to late week, forecasters added.
