Community invited to free health screening event in Greenville

The Eta Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is hosting a free community health screening event on Saturday, September 26, at 1680 Walker Lane in Greenville, Mississippi.

The event, titled “Beyond Pink, Check Everything,” runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and offers a variety of health screenings and educational resources. Services include mammogram screenings, A1C and glucose checks, cholesterol testing, diabetic foot evaluations, peripheral vascular screenings, and carotid assessments.

Health education and community resources will also be available, along with opportunities for attendees to connect with healthcare professionals. Providers and partners are expected to answer questions and provide guidance to help residents take proactive steps toward better health.

The event is open to men, women, and children at no cost. Organizers encourage community members to attend, invite family and friends, and prioritize their health. The event’s slogan is “Beyond Pink. Check Everything.”

Organizers emphasize the importance of preventive care to support healthier, stronger families and thriving communities, according to a news release from the chapter.
