Coahoma Community College hosts discussion on domestic violence awareness
Coahoma Community College will host an event titled “Behind Closed Doors: Let’s Talk About It” on Oct. 6 to mark Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The session will include community advocates, legal professionals, and support service representatives. Participants will discuss available resources, legal options, and strategies for creating safer communities, according to college officials.
The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Zee A. Barron Student Union. College leaders emphasized the importance of open dialogue and support for survivors, noting that help and hope are available for those in need.
Organizers encouraged community members to attend and join the conversation about domestic violence prevention and support efforts.
