Cleveland sets Halloween trick-or-treat hours for Oct. 31

Trick-or-treating in Cleveland will take place from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, the city announced.

The Cleveland Police Department urged motorists to slow down and watch for children, particularly in residential neighborhoods and near intersections, driveways and crosswalks. Drivers also should avoid distractions, the department said.

Police encouraged parents to accompany young children, use sidewalks and designated crosswalks, and stay in familiar, well-lit areas. Children should carry flashlights or glow sticks, wear reflective clothing and check both directions before crossing streets, according to the department.

Parents should inspect treats before children eat them, police said. Chief Dudley Tribble and the department wished the community a safe Halloween.
