Cleveland Police mourn retired officer Clifford ‘Cliff’ Cooper
The Cleveland Police Department is mourning the loss of Clifford ‘Cliff’ Cooper, a retired officer who dedicated nearly two decades to serving the city. Officer Cooper joined the force in February 1983 and retired in February 2001, according to department Chief Dudley Tribble.
After retiring from the police force, Cooper continued his service as a jailer at the Bolivar County Correctional Facility. The department described him as a person who served with honor and humility.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Cleveland Funeral Home, and the department expressed pride in calling him one of their own.
