Cleveland police arrest second suspect in 2026 shooting death

The Cleveland Police Department has arrested a second suspect in connection with the shooting death of Jamonte Johnson, 22, on April 9, 2026. Quincy Lewis Jr., 25, of Cleveland, was taken into custody April 14 and faces charges of murder and tampering with evidence.

Lewis was transported to the Bolivar County Regional Correctional Facility, where he is currently being held without bond. He remains detained due to a previous felony bond. The arrest comes after Johnson was found shot at a residence near the intersection of White Street and South Chrisman.
