Cleveland holds third annual Partnership Stair Climb to honor 9/11 heroes

CLEVELAND, Miss. — The city of Cleveland hosted its third annual Partnership Stair Climb at the Delta State University football field Saturday.

Organized by the Cleveland Volunteer Fire Department, Cleveland Park Commission, Delta State University Athletics, and local residents, the event aimed to remember and honor the lives lost and the responders on Sept. 11, 2001.

The stair climb serves as more than a memorial; it is a tribute to heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice. Participants gathered to reflect and pay their respects, emphasizing community unity and remembrance.

The event included community members and local officials coming together to honor the enduring legacy of 9/11 heroes. Participants shared in the tribute through the symbolic climb, which has become an annual tradition in Cleveland.

Organizers hope the event continues to foster remembrance and community spirit, ensuring that the sacrifices made on 9/11 are never forgotten.
