Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office Praises $100,000 Law Enforcement Support Grant
The Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office has expressed appreciation to Congressman Thompson for awarding a $100,000 Law Enforcement Support incentive to the agency.
In a letter, Sheriff Jeremy “Bull” McCoy credited the funding with improving operational capacity and helping deputies meet increasing demands. The sheriff praised Thompson’s ongoing commitment to public safety and law enforcement support in Mississippi.
McCoy noted that the grant will directly benefit the agency’s efforts to maintain a safe environment for residents. He also emphasized the importance of continued partnership and support from the congressman’s office.
Thompson’s office has yet to comment publicly on the award. The sheriff’s office said it is grateful for the leadership and advocacy that help strengthen local law enforcement efforts across the region.
