Washington County Urges Damage Reports After Severe Winter Storm
Washington County Mayor Errick D. Simmons credited the county’s Emergency Operations Center for providing damage assessment forms and a reporting link following a severe winter storm. He urged residents, businesses, industries, agricultural operations, and municipal departments to evaluate and report damages caused by the ice storm.
The National Weather Service warned of dangerously cold wind chills between minus 5 and 10 degrees. Temperatures could range from zero to 15 degrees above freezing, creating hazardous conditions across the region, according to weather forecasts.
Officials emphasize the importance of damage reporting to assess the storm’s impact and coordinate recovery efforts. Residents are advised to stay safe and monitor local updates as the cold snap continues.
