Suspect in Tunica Riverpark shooting arrested, faces multiple charges

Ladarrius Marbley, 26, of Clarksdale, Mississippi, was arrested by the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office and is being held at the Tunica County Jail, according to authorities.

Marbley faces charges of unlawful discharge of a firearm within a populated area in connection with a shooting that occurred on March 8 at the Tunica Riverpark, the sheriff’s office said. He was issued a $500 bond by the Tunica County Justice Court.

He also has active warrants in Walls, Mississippi, for contempt of court and in DeSoto County, Mississippi, for failure to appear. The investigation remains active, and officials indicated that additional arrests could be made, potentially for attempted murder and drive-by shooting related to gang involvement and retaliation.

The sheriff’s office is working with local, state, and federal agencies, including the Tunica Police Department, the Desoto County Sheriff’s Office, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations, and the ATF.
