Storm chances increase through mid-week, with stronger systems forecast for Easter weekend

A gradual increase in afternoon showers and thunderstorms is expected through mid-week, according to weather forecasts.

By late Thursday into Friday, the likelihood of organized rain and storm activity will rise across the region, the National Weather Service said.

Looking ahead to the weekend, a stronger weather system could bring another round of storms Saturday into Easter Sunday, forecasters added.
