Showers return this evening before cold front brings cooler temperatures

Showers are expected to return to the area Tuesday evening ahead of a cold front, according to the National Weather Service.

After the front passes, colder and drier conditions will settle in. Temperatures are forecast to drop into the 30s after midnight.
