Organizations Highlight Delta Compass at Regional Education Conference

Representatives at the Deep South Convening on Strengthening Education and Training Supports for State Economic Growth highlighted the work of Delta Compass as a scalable model for boosting workforce development across Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, and South Carolina.

The event was hosted by the Urban Institute, ECMC, and the Woodward Hines Education Foundation. Attendees praised Delta Compass for its impactful efforts in supporting economic growth through education and training initiatives.

Participants included officials from the Mississippi Development Authority, Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning, Mississippi Community College Board, Entergy Mississippi, the Mississippi Economic Development Council, Delta Business Journal, Delta Regional Authority, Mississippi Business Journal, Foundation for the Mid South, and Accelerate Mississippi.

The convening aimed to foster collaboration and share successful strategies for workforce development in the region, with Delta Compass serving as a leading example.
