Multiple arrests made in Tunica County shooting and gang-related investigations

Authorities in Tunica County have apprehended multiple suspects connected to a series of violent incidents, including shootings and a high-speed chase that crossed into DeSoto County. The arrests stem from ongoing investigations into gang-related violence and retaliation.

On March 8, a shooting at the Tunica Riverpark injured two people, including 21-year-old Recovyon Reed and 18-year-old Jaylin Liddell, both from Tunica. Reed was shot at the scene, while Liddell was wounded at a residence on Gay Street. Both were transported to area hospitals for treatment, according to the sheriff’s office.

Later that morning, authorities pursued a vehicle linked to the shootings. The vehicle, a black Infiniti, fled from deputies after being identified on Prichard Road. It crashed on Arkabutla Dam Road in DeSoto County, where three occupants fled on foot and were quickly apprehended. The suspects are identified as Antonio Allen, 23, of Tunica; Mylon Done, 22, of Friars Point; and Darius Robinson, 31, of Memphis. Multiple firearms were recovered from the vehicle.

Additional suspects, including 22-year-old Jon Talton and 19-year-old Charles Davis Jr., are in custody. Talton faces attempted murder charges related to the Sunday shooting at the Riverpark. Davis turned himself in after being identified as a person of interest in a separate shooting incident on Curtistine Drive.

Throughout the week, authorities issued bonds for several individuals, including Liddell, Taylor, and Lester, who face charges ranging from attempted murder to conspiracy. The sheriff’s office continues to investigate potential gang involvement and retaliation activities, with additional arrests anticipated. The agency is assisted by local, state, and federal partners, including the ATF and Mississippi Bureau of Investigations.
