Mississippi Wild Turkey Season Set to Run March 14 to May 3, 2026

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks announced the 2026 spring wild turkey season will open March 14 and run through May 3.

Under Mississippi law, if the season ends on a Friday, it extends until 30 minutes after sunset on the following Sunday. This extension applies only to 2026 and does not affect the annual bag limit, the department said.
