Mississippi warns hunters about upcoming deadline for 2026 spring turkey draw applications

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks announced that the application window for the 2026 Wildlife Management Area Spring Turkey Draw Hunts will close on Jan. 31, according to a news release.

Hunters interested in participating can find more information and apply online at the department’s website. The application period runs from Jan. 15 to Jan. 31.

Non-residents planning to hunt public land from March 7 to March 31 must apply for a Public Land License Endorsement. This application period is also open from Jan. 15 to Jan. 31. More details are available on the department’s website.
