Mississippi residents encouraged to report winter storm damages

Mississippi residents are encouraged to report any damages caused by recent winter weather as the effects begin to melt away, according to local officials.

To report damage, residents can contact the Tippah County Sheriff’s Office at 662-363-1411. The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency urges homeowners to use its online self-report tool to document damage and submit photos of affected property.

MEMA has received hundreds of reports so far and encourages continued submissions. The damage report form is available at https://www.msema.org/report-damage, which also features a video guide on how to complete the process.

Officials emphasized that submitting a report does not mean applying for assistance but helps speed up damage assessments for future aid considerations.
