Mississippi Emergency Management Agency Offers Citizen Damage Reporting Tool

The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) has launched a citizen self-reporting tool to help residents document storm-related damage.

The online system is available by county and is intended for data collection purposes only. It is not a substitute for emergency services, and residents are advised to call 9-1-1 for immediate, life-threatening needs.

MEMA emphasized that submitting a damage report through the portal does not qualify residents for financial assistance. The tool is designed to gather information that may assist in assessing the storm’s impact across the state.

Residents can access the reporting links through MEMA’s website. The agency encourages timely reporting to aid in response and recovery efforts.
