Mississippi Delta Community College Nutrition Class Focuses on Health and Wellness

Students at Mississippi Delta Community College took part in a busy week of nutrition and wellness activities. On Tuesday, dietitian Shelby Miller spoke to students about the link between diet and chronic disease.

Today, Jaylan Woods from the Indianola Health and Wellness Center led a hands-on workout outside the Harper Science Building. The activity aimed to promote physical activity and healthy habits among students.

MDCC officials said the program focuses on building lifelong health habits through a combination of education and active participation. Students are encouraged to learn about healthy living while having fun along the way.
