Mississippi Delta Community College Hosts Mardi Gras Celebration

Mississippi Delta Community College is hosting a Mardi Gras celebration today at Herman Thigpin Cafeteria. The event runs from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and features a menu with jambalaya, red beans and rice, fried shrimp po’ boys, king cake, and more, according to college officials.

Attendees are encouraged to wear bright Mardi Gras colors to join in the festive spirit. The event aims to foster community engagement and celebrate Louisiana’s cultural traditions.

Prices are set at $8.50 plus tax for students and staff, and $10.50 plus tax for the public. Organizers invite everyone to bring their appetites and enjoy the celebration at the college campus.
