Mississippi Baptist Disaster Relief Offers Free Storm Help in Several Counties
Residents in Bolivar, Humphreys, Sunflower, and Sharkey counties can now access free assistance from Mississippi Baptist Disaster Relief for storm-related damage, according to local officials.
The organization is offering services such as removing fallen limbs and trees, as well as roof tarping. Teams are expected to arrive in the coming days to help clear roads and address damage. All services are provided at no cost, a spokesperson confirmed.
David, who spoke with county emergency management agency directors, said the effort aims to streamline assistance by collecting help requests through a centralized form. Mark Rowlans is leading the effort and coordinating the response, officials said.
Residents needing assistance are encouraged to fill out the provided form as soon as possible. The organization plans to send teams to Washington County within the next few days to perform roof tarping, clear debris, and conduct chainsaw work, all free of charge.
