Mid-South faces expanded slight risk of severe storms, NOAA says

The National Weather Service has expanded the slight risk of severe weather to include the entire Mid-South region. The risk level is classified as 2 out of 5.

Damaging winds are the main concern, with the potential for large hail and quick-spinning tornadoes as secondary threats, according to meteorologists.

Officials advise residents to stay alert and prepare for possible severe weather conditions throughout the day.
