MDWFP updates Reel Facts with spring fishing information

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks has updated its Reel Facts guides for the spring season. The guides provide fishing information for state fishing lakes, state park lakes, and reservoirs across Mississippi.

Reel Facts include details such as amenities, creel and size limits, special regulations, and fishing tips. They are updated each spring based on sampling data collected by MDWFP fisheries biologists the previous fall.

These guides also give anglers access to the past five years of MDWFP data on bass, crappie, bream, and shad. Specific waterbody information can be found on the department’s website by selecting the desired lake on the Public Fishing Lakes page.
