MDCC Moorhead hosts bone marrow donor drive for 11-year-old girl

The Minnesota State Community and Technical College Moorhead campus will host a bone marrow donor drive on April 21 to assist in finding a match for 11-year-old Cate, who is battling bone marrow failure, according to organizers.

Participants are encouraged to stop by the campus to provide a simple cheek swab, which could help save Cate’s life. The event is part of Team Cate’s efforts to raise awareness and gather potential donors.

Organizers are urging community members to come out and support the cause, sharing the event with friends and family. No appointment is necessary, and all are welcome to participate in the drive.

The drive aims to expand the registry of potential bone marrow donors and bring hope to Cate and other patients in need of matching donors.
