Mayor Errick D. Simmons Thanks Community and Partners for Aid During Winter Storm

Mayor Errick D. Simmons expressed gratitude to community members and partners for their support during a winter storm that affected Hollandale and Arcola.

In a statement, Simmons said, “Even in the storm, God reminds us that we are never alone — He sends helpers, hope, and healing right on time. In tough times, we show up for our brothers and sisters in need.”

The mayor credited Chief Ruben Brown and the Greenville Fire Department, Walmart, Carlos Brothers, Jaribu Hill, the Mississippi Workers Center for Human Rights, and numerous city, county, and regional agencies for their efforts to assist the impacted communities.

Simmons also thanked Senator Derrick T. Simmons for sending additional assistance and resources from the state. He concluded by emphasizing the importance of unity, service, and compassion during challenging times.
