Law enforcement offices closed Monday due to winter weather
All administrative offices for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and the Houston Police Department will be closed Monday due to severe winter weather, officials announced.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez and JPD Chief Tyree D. Jones stated that while the offices are closed, operational divisions will remain active, and essential public safety services will continue without interruption. Deputies and officers are expected to remain on duty and respond to incidents as conditions allow.
Officials urged residents to stay safe, stay informed, and exercise caution during the ongoing weather system. No disruptions to emergency response services are anticipated at this time.
