Join the Spring Gobbler Hunter Survey to Support Turkey Conservation
Turkey hunters across the state are invited to participate in the Spring Gobbler Hunter Survey (SGHS), which aims to gather valuable data for wildlife management. The survey allows hunters to contribute observations on gobbling activity, harvest rates, hunter effort, age, and sex ratios.
Biologists use this information to inform turkey management decisions and enhance hunting opportunities. Participation is open to all skill levels, and there is no cost involved. The only requirement is taking a minute or two to record observations after each hunt.
Hunters interested in getting involved can find more information at the state’s wildlife agency website. The data collected will remain confidential and will directly support conservation efforts across the region.
