Indianola hosts alumni fundraiser with golf, pickleball, and more

Indianola will host its annual Play It Forward alumni fundraiser on June 6 at Indianola Country Club, celebrating the school’s centennial. The event offers a variety of activities to connect alumni and raise funds for scholarships, organizers said.

The day begins with a golf scramble, with registration at 11 a.m. and a shotgun start at noon. Participation costs $100 for individuals and $400 for teams, according to event organizers. Attendees can also enjoy pickleball matches starting at 9 a.m., with check-in at 8 a.m. The cost is $60 per player, and participants are encouraged to bring partner information.

In addition, mahjong games are scheduled to start at 2 p.m., with check-in at 1 p.m. The fee is $40 for individuals, or $400 to reserve a table for four. A come-and-go lunch is available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., included with registration.

The day concludes with a spring alumni social at 6 p.m., featuring awards, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar. Tickets to the social are included in registration and sponsorship packages. Additional tickets are available for $10 for those only attending the social. All proceeds support alumni scholarships, organizers said.
