Ice, Snow Cover Highway in Tunica County, Public Advises Caution

Most parts of the highway in Tunica County are covered with ice, sleet, and snow, according to officials. Authorities recommend residents stay home if possible and exercise caution.

Photos from the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office show dangerous conditions on Fox Island Road Bridge, the bridges on Highway 61 North and South, and sections of Highway 61 entering Coahoma and Tunica counties.

Officials urge drivers to avoid travel until conditions improve to prevent accidents and injuries. No injuries or incidents have been reported at this time.
