Horn Lake Police Department offers citizen academy starting Feb. 12

The Horn Lake Police Department is hosting its Citizen’s Police Academy starting Feb. 12. The program provides residents with an inside look at department operations.

Participants will observe how the Emergency Communication Center functions, learn about Criminal Investigation Division, Special Operations, K9 units, DUI enforcement, and the drone program. They will also have the opportunity to participate in ride-alongs and experience traffic stop scenarios.

Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications now. The academy aims to foster community engagement and transparency, according to department officials.
