Hinds County Sheriff’s Office Announces 2026 Citizens Academy

The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office has announced its 2026 Citizens Academy, scheduled to run from April 6 to April 13, 2026. The program will be held at the Mississippi Natural Science Museum, located at 2148 Riverside Drive in Jackson.

Participants will get an inside look at how the sheriff’s department functions, interact with department leadership, and learn about the criminal justice system. The academy aims to provide residents with a better understanding of law enforcement operations and community involvement.
