Greenville police arrested a man on arson charges following a house fire on Ridge Avenue on March 21. According to authorities, officers responded to a call about a fire at around 7 a.m. When they arrived, the homeowner told officers he had extinguished the flames before emergency crews arrived.

The homeowner also provided video footage showing a suspect spraying an unknown accelerant on the east side of the residence, which then caught fire, police said. Witnesses identified the suspect in the video as 34-year-old Johnny Grandison of Greenville.
