Greenville continues Black History Month facts series highlighting Black leaders and moments
The city of Greenville is observing Black History Month by continuing its Black History Month Facts Series, which highlights influential leaders, trailblazers, and moments that have shaped the nation, the world, and the local community, according to a statement from Mayor Errick D. Simmons.
Mayor Simmons said, “Black history is American history. Black history is world history. It belongs to all of us, and everyone should join in the celebration.”
Throughout the month, the city encourages residents to celebrate, learn, and honor the legacy of Black excellence, resilience, and achievement, Simmons added.
The campaign uses the hashtags #BlackHistoryMonth, #GreenvilleMS, #CelebrateAndLearn, and #OurHistory to promote engagement on social media.
