Greenville continues Black History Month facts series highlighting Black leaders and moments
The City of Greenville is honoring Black History Month with a series of facts that highlight influential leaders, trailblazers, and moments that have shaped the nation, the world, and the community.
Mayor Errick D. Simmons stated that Black history is an integral part of American and world history. He emphasized that it belongs to everyone and encouraged residents to participate in the celebration.
Throughout the month, Greenville residents are invited to learn about and celebrate the enduring legacy of Black excellence, resilience, and achievement. The city’s observance aims to foster awareness and appreciation for Black contributions across history and society.
