Greenville Continues Black History Month Facts Series
The city of Greenville is honoring Black History Month with a series of facts that spotlight influential leaders, trailblazers, and key moments that have shaped the nation, the world, and the community.
Mayor Errick D. Simmons issued a statement emphasizing the significance of Black history, saying, “Black history is American history. Black history is world history. It belongs to all of us, and everyone should join in the celebration.”
Greenville officials encourage residents to participate throughout the month as they celebrate, learn, and honor the legacy of Black excellence, resilience, and achievement. The city uses social media hashtags such as #BlackHistoryMonth, #GreenvilleMS, and #CelebrateAndLearn to promote the event.
