In response, authorities investigated the situation and confirmed that Safe Home Security, based in Nashville, Tennessee, is a legitimate business looking to expand its client base.

According to the company, six employees were in the area and have agreed to cease their door-to-door operations immediately. They plan to encourage potential clients to contact their office directly for services, rather than through canvassing.
