Delta organizations partner to address workforce challenges in Mississippi
Organizations across Mississippi’s Delta region are partnering to tackle workforce challenges, including transportation issues and credentialing gaps, according to Mississippi Today.
Doug Freeze, vice president of workforce and economic development at Mississippi Delta Community College, emphasized the importance of these efforts. He said, “Our programs help people get a job, keep a job, or make more money.”
Freeze added that the programs aim to not only provide training but also to transform lives and advance the region. He noted that a thriving community depends on a strong, capable workforce.
While many workers face difficulties maintaining current employment, others are still struggling to find opportunities. The regional partnership seeks to bridge these gaps and foster economic growth across the Delta.
