Congressional Representative to Announce $1 Million in Community Funding for Mississippi District

A congressional representative will hold a press conference next week to announce $1 million in community project funding for Mississippi’s Second Congressional District.

The funding, allocated for 2025-2026, will support 10 sheriff’s departments and benefit residents across the district, according to a statement from the office.

The event is scheduled for Jan. 27, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Asbury United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, located at 205 Raymond Bolton Road in Bolton, Mississippi.
