Cold weather persists as temperatures dip into teens

Temperatures dropped into the teens early Tuesday morning, continuing a stretch of cold weather. Wind chills are not as severe as last night but are still around 10 degrees, according to weather reports.

The eastern half of the region is experiencing slightly higher winds, which contribute to the lower wind chill readings. Authorities warn residents to take precautions against the cold and to limit outdoor activities.

The cold snap is expected to persist throughout the day, with temperatures remaining well below seasonal averages. Officials advise dressing warmly and protecting exposed skin from the cold conditions.
