Cleveland schools remain closed through week due to winter weather
Cleveland Metropolitan School District announced Monday that all schools will remain closed for the rest of the week because of dangerous road conditions and ongoing cold weather, according to district officials.
The district said safety is the top priority and that in-person classes are not feasible under current conditions. Teachers will continue to provide virtual instruction each day.
District officials will monitor weather and road conditions over the weekend and plan to make a decision about reopening for the following week on Sunday. Parents and students are advised to stay safe and warm during the cold spell.
