Cleveland Launches Peanut Butter Packing Day for Local Food Banks
Cleveland officials and residents gathered early Wednesday morning to kick off Peanut Butter Packing Day, part of the city’s efforts to support local food pantries. The event began at 9 a.m., following the collection of peanut butter donations from the community.
Organizers are encouraging residents to drop off 16-ounce jars of peanut butter at designated locations through Friday, February 27. Drop-off sites include Cleveland City Hall, the police department, the train museum, the Grammy Museum, the Cleveland Library, and the Cleveland Chamber of Commerce, according to event organizers.
The initiative is part of the March of the Mayors food drive, which aims to fight hunger in Cleveland and surrounding areas. The city’s efforts are focused on collecting peanut butter to help stock local food pantries in 2026, organizers said.
Community members are urged to participate and help fight hunger in Cleveland, with the hashtag #ClevelandMS used to promote the campaign.
