Bolivar County residents eligible for federal aid after winter storm damage

Residents of Bolivar County who suffered losses during the winter weather from January 23 to 27 have been approved for federal individual assistance, according to officials.

Eligible individuals can apply for aid through the DisasterAssistance.gov website or by calling 1-800-621-3362. TTY users can call 1-800-462-7585. The federal disaster number assigned to this event is DR-4899.

The approval follows a request from Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves, who sought federal assistance for those impacted by the severe winter conditions, and was subsequently approved by the president, authorities said.
